Big openings, installed to close right.
Pivot doors, lift-and-slide walls, entry doors and windows. U.S. brands and imported systems, installed and serviced by DDA Construction for nine years.

- 02LeafA 54 × 96 in. glass leaf lowered onto the floor pivot.

Every door and window type sold in the U.S. market.
Large-format glass is where installs go wrong: out-of-level sills, undersized headers, missing sill pans. We specialize in those openings, and we still show up for a single sticky slider.
Pivot doors
Oversized entry doors on a floor pivot with a hydraulic closer.
Lift-and-slide doors
Handle lifts the panel off its seals onto rollers. Drop it and it seals tight.
Multi-slide doors
Panels that stack to one side or slide into a wall pocket for a fully open wall.
Bi-fold doors
Hinged panels that fold like an accordion and stack at the jamb.
Sliding patio doors
Two- and three-panel sliders in vinyl, fiberglass, wood-clad or aluminum.
Entry & French doors
Fiberglass, steel and wood entry systems with sidelites, transoms and multi-point locks.
Replacement windows
Double-hung, casement, awning, picture and bay windows. Insert or full-frame.
Tilt-and-turn windows
The European window most imported systems use. One handle, two ways to open.
Which system fits your opening?
Move the sliders to match your wall and pick what matters most. It's a starting point for the site visit, where we measure the rough opening and check the header and sill.

More homeowners and builders in the DMV order aluminum doors and windows direct from factories in China. The product can be good. The problems show up at install: metric hardware, unmarked glass, frames built to the wrong size.
Rough opening math
Factories build to the exact unit size you send. We confirm the deductions on the shop drawings before production.
Safety glass marks
Glass near doors, floors and wet areas needs a permanent etched mark. Inspectors look for it. We check every pane.
Energy numbers
The DMV is climate zone 4A. Windows need documented U-factors to pass. We tell you what the factory must provide.
Thermal breaks
Aluminum without a thermal break sweats and frosts in a Maryland January. We verify the profile before you order.
Spare parts
Rollers, gaskets and lock parts are not on local shelves. We give you a spares list to ship with the order.
Service after
Installed by someone else and not closing right? We adjust and repair imported systems, including tilt-and-turn hardware.
From measure to the last adjustment.
The same five steps on a single window or a 30-foot glass wall. On large openings, most of the time goes into steps two and five.
Site visit
We measure the rough opening, check level and plumb, and look at the header, sill and flooring.
Drawings check
We review the manufacturer's drawings against the opening. For imports, before production.
Delivery inspection
Crates opened on site: glass marks, damage, hardware count. Photos before anyone signs.
Install
Sill pan, flashing, shims and anchors to the maker's instructions, with the right crew size.
Tune & hand over
Rollers, closers and locks adjusted. We show you how the hardware works and what to maintain.

Sliding patio door hard to open? The 30-minute fix
Most sticky sliders aren't broken. Grit in the track is grinding into the rollers. Clean, lubricate the right way, and adjust.
